Got my retainers today. The clear kind. I have to wear them 24/7 for the first two weeks and then nightly for, I believe, the rest of my life. If I want my teeth to stay in place that is. You know, retained.
Yeah, I didn't understand the whole "retainers for life" idea before my kids got them. It's probably a good thing. If my kids had known it would be forever I don't know that I could have kept them in the process.

its worth it! as proved by my teeth which did not "retain" though they are certainly not as bad as before braces
