Art City Days have begun here in Springville! I can hear the some of the carnival rides through my open window. Maybe this year I'll get up early enough for the hot air balloon festival. Maybe.
I love Art City Days, of course. I feel like it's part of my heritage. I used to go to the parade every year with my grandma. Her house was right by the library, when the carnival was, so she was our retreat in the middle of the day. It's very nostalgic for me.
We do the balloon launch every year. With fresh cinnamon rolls (Rhodes) and milk. It's a tradition I started with my kids. I can't wait to share it with grandkids someday.
