My Rush Theory

I don't follow Rush Limbaugh so I don't know how often he makes comments on the air that really cross a line, but I have a theory about his recent comment claiming that Michael J. Fox exaggerated his Parkinson symptoms to play on the emotions of voters in Missouri.

What if Rush is actually a closet supporter of stem cell research? To maintain his appeal to his audience, he can't exactly come out and say that. But in an absolutely brilliant move, he was able to throw a huge spotlight on the issue of stem cell research and specifically on Michael J. Fox, who rose to the occasion gracefully and articulately.

You go, Rush!

I just heard the same kind of theory about John Kerry's unbelievably stupid remark about our military. Is he a secret republican?

PS
The Limbaugh/Fox story is showing the poor taste of both extremes. When you look below the surface Fox doesn't look too good either. He has never even read the amendment he is pushing.

In the ad Rush was criticizing, Fox was campaigning for a pro stem cell research candidate for US Senate, not for the local Missouri amendment.

But yes, if someone is campaigning for a specific amendment, they definitely should have read it.

Ooh, and yes. Very, very high cringe factor on Kerry's recent comment.
